Homebaked Desserts was created in 2002 in Saffron Denton's home kitchen.
Saffron had been working as a Food Scientist at Unilever for 14 years,
disappointed with the quality of cakes and desserts on offer decided
to turn her long held dream of a dessert making business into reality.
Saffron's venture has grown and now bakes and sells
her cakes and desserts from a small bakery shop in Bedford
selling cakes and desserts to local food
businesses and the general public in and around Bedford.-
Fancy is a cake shop and cafe based in Black Tom of Bedford Town. Hand-crafted cakes, savouries, biscuits and desserts prepared using only the finest ingredients, fresh from our in-house bakery. From a solitary cup cake to party cakes, savoury pies and the greatest brownies known to man, we can create whatever tickles your fancy.. ! Treat yourself to a moment of indulgence in our beautifully restored Fancy cafe. Freshly brewed teas and coffees in glorious vintage china; scrumptious smoothies & milkshakes to refresh your day; of course, theres always an array of mouthwatering Fancy's to feast on. All Saffron's recipes use ingredients you would find in your home. We source the finest quality ingredients using no additives or preservatives and bake fresh in small batches everyday.
We only use butter and no margarine, fresh local eggs and good quality dark chocolate.
